Krystol Internal Membrane
Krystol Internal Membrane (KIM) is a hydrophilic crystalline admixture used to create permanently waterproof concrete.
KIM lowers the permeability of concrete, and is used in place of surface applied waterproofing membranes. By stopping the transmission of water through concrete, KIM adds durability and longevity to concrete by protecting it against chemical attack and corrosion of reinforcing steel.
How it works
KIM contains Krystol technology. When added to concrete, Krystol chemically reacts with water and un-hydrated cement particles to form insoluble needle-shaped crystals that fill capillary pores and micro-cracks in the concrete and block the pathways for water and waterborne contaminants. Any moisture introduced over the lifespan of the concrete will initiate crystallization, ensuring permanent waterproofing protection.

Trubuild APC-225 is used as protective coating for concrete structures like sunken portion, toilets, balcony, chajja, basement, terrace, and concrete repairs. Surface Preparation
The surface should be clean and dried before application. It should be free from dust, unsound material, loose plaster, oil, paint, grease, algae and corrosion deposits. Fill all the cracks up to 5 mm by Trubuild CFP 425 and above by making PMM using Trubuild WPL 333. Waterproofing Coating Make a slurry of 1:2 ratio of Trubuild APC-225 and cement and apply first coat on concrete surface. Make sure that concrete surface is in condition before application of first coat. After 5 -6 hours of application of first coat, apply second coat of Trubuild APC-225 coating. After application of 2nd coat, allow the system to air cure for 5 to 6 hours. This should be followed by moist curing by sprinkling /spraying of potable water for 24 hours. After moist curing, the surface should be allowed to air cure for 3 to 5 days before covering it with screed and there after lay the protective screed to avoid mechanical damage. Clean the prepared slab using a wire brush and jet wash to remove any dirt or oil.
Wet the surface with water and ensure there is no standing water present prior to application i.e. surface saturated dry (SSD) condition.
Apply 2 coats Apply the 1st coat using a sti??? nylon brush. Apply the 2nd coat after a minimum of 8 hours in perpendicular direction to the 1st coat.
Mix the powder and liquid polymer ensuring lump free consistency, preferably using a mechanical stirrer.
Screed Coat

Preparation of the substrate
The surface to be treated must be sound, clean, perfectly flat (no peaks or hollows) and with no cracks. Remove cement laitance, loose and crumbling parts and traces of dust, grease, oil and form-release compounds by sandblasting or with high pressure water jets. If water keeps leaking through onto concrete structures, block the leaks beforehand with Lamposilex. Cementitious render must be well cured (7 days for each cm of mortar applied in good weather), well bonded to the substrate, strong and free of dust and all kinds of paint. Integrate any missing areas or repair honeycombs with a suitable product from the Mapegrout range. Round off all sharp edges on horizontal and vertical surfaces and form fillets with the same Mapegrout range product. When applied on balconies and exposed horizontal surfaces, take extra care around joints between horizontal and vertical surfaces by applying 20 cm wide Mapetex 50 non-woven polypropylene tape, embedded in the two coats of Planiseal 288 Plus. Apply Mapeband TPE tape to the substrate around structural joints to form flexible waterproof seals; bond the tape in place with Adesilex PG4 epoxy adhesive. Absorbent surfaces to be treated with Planiseal 288 Plus must be wetted slightly with water prior to application

APPLICATION Read Application Instruction 2.11 — Waterproofing with Surface-Application (Brush Method) or 2.12 — Waterproofing with Surface-Application (Spray Method) before using this product. As part of the Krystol Leak Repair System, refer to Application Instruction 5.12 — Waterproofing Cracks, Holes and Joints. Application should not be made when the surface temperature is below 5ºC (41ºF). Mix Krystol T1 to a coating consistency (3 parts powder to 1 part clean water). With a concrete brush, use an aggressive circular motion to coat the concrete with the Krystol T1 mix at a coverage of 0.8 kg/m2 (1.5 lb./sq. yd.) per coat. To ensure complete coverage with no missed or thin spots, we recommend that you always apply two coats. While it is permissible to use Krystol T1 for both coats, using Krystol T2 for the second coat will give a harder, more durable finish and at a much lower cost. The second coat can be applied as soon as the Krystol T1 has set hard (from 6 to 24 hours depending on conditions). Wet cure for at least 3 days, protecting from frost, rain and traffic for at least 24 hours. For some applications, a single coating of Krystol T1 is sufficient at a coverage rate of 1.2 kg/m2 (2.25 lb./sq. yd.)—Contact your Kryton representative for details.

Description Dr. Fixit Pidicrete URP is based on modified styrene butadiene latex supplied as a ready to use bonding agent in liquid consistency. It is used for repair of spalled concrete – floors, columns, beams, chhajas, slabs & waterproofing of toilets & bathrooms, small terraces etc. as it bonds strongly to old & new concrete and to plasters. It reduces shrinkage, prevents cracking, dust pick up & improves abrasion resistance. Packaging 0.2 kg, 0.5 kg, 1 kg, 5 kg, 10 kg, 20 kg & 50 kg Method of Application 1 SURFACE PREPARATION } Clean the surface with wire brush or scrubber to remove hidden dirt, loose particles, laitance & dust. Degrease the surface by using suitable solvents. } Repair the spalled concrete portion by saw, cutting the extreme edges of the repair location to a depth of at least 10 mm to avoid featheredging & to provide strong bond. } Clean the concrete surface to remove any contamination where breaking is not possible. Roughen the surface by light scrabbling or grit blasting. } For priming of concrete substrate, the surface should be thoroughly saturated with potable water. Remove any excess of water prior to application.
Dosage } As a waterproofing coating – Mix proportion by volume 1:1.5 (Dr. Fixit Pidicrete URP: Cement). } As a mortar modifier – 10-15 % of Dr. Fixit Pidicrete URP by weight of cement. } As a bonding agent – Mix proportion by volume; 1:1 (Dr. Fixit Pidicrete URP: Cement). Coverage } As a waterproofing coating - 2 – 2.2 m2/kg in 2 coats. } As a mortar modifier – 6-7.5 kg of Dr. Fixit Pidicrete URP per 50 kg of cement. } As a bonding agent – 4.2 – 4.5 m2/kg per coat. Precautions & Limitations } Recommended dosage to be followed to achieve desired results. } When working in hot temperature conditions, extra water may be added to the repair mortar to compensate for the evaporation loss & make the mortar workable. Application temperature: Not less than 100C Toxicity: Non-toxic Bond strength to concrete: Approx. 1 N/mm2 Application instructions Preparation All surfaces to be treated with POLYCOTE WH must be thoroughly cleaned by a wire brush or other mechanical means, to remove all dust, laitance or debris. The surface must also be free from oil, grease, wax or any other form of foreign matter which might affect adhesion. Spalled and deeply disintegrated concrete or mortar must be removed to a sound substrate and repaired suitably before coating. Priming: Before application, the surface should be primed with POLYCOTE WH as follows: 1 part of POLYCOTE WH: 2 parts of Water: 4 parts of Cement Mixed material with the above proportion will cover an area of 16-17m2 for 1L of POLYCOTE WH. Topcoat POLYCOTE WH acrylic polymer shall be mixed with neat cement in the ratio of 1:2 respectively, to obtain uniform and consistent slurry avoiding any lump formation. This can be achieved with a low duty, low speed drilling machine attached with a mixing paddle. Do not mix for more than 2 minutes. Do not mix more material than which can be used within the pot life. Retempering the mix with water should not be done. Occasionally stir the material till the entire quantity is applied, so that solids do not settle at the bottom of the container.

This does not affect the performance of the coating, in any way • Avoid application in direct sun and/or strong wind. Do not add water in any circumstances. Apply only to sound, prepared substrates and surfaces should be well dampened but free from surface water and leaks. Do not exceed maximum layer thickness • For waterproofing or damp proofing application, always use at least 2 coats to give a total thickness of between 0.8 – 1 mm. Keraset is a normal (1) cementitious (C) adhesive of class C1. Keraset is CE marked, as declared in TT certificates n° 71230101.101 (SFV) issued by the Säurefliesner-Vereinigung e.V. Grossburgwedel laboratory (Germany) and in TT certificate n° 25080231/Gi (TUM) issued by the Technische Universität München laboratory (Germany) and in certificates TT n° 2008-B-2749/01 and 2008-B-2749/04 issued by the Istitute MPA Dresden (Germany).
Keraset is a grey or white powder composed of cement, sands of selected granulometry, synthetic resins, and special additives according to a formula developed in MAPEI’s Research and Development Laboratories. Keraset mixed with water, becomes an easily workable mortar, that can be applied even vertically without slumping and without letting the tiles slip. Keraset hardens without appreciable shrinkage attaining a good resistance, adhering perfectly to all materials normally used in the building industry.
Keraset is applied with a notched trowel onto the substrate. Choose a trowel that will give coverage to the back of the tiles of at least 65-70% for walls or for internal light foot traffic. For heavy traffic and for external applications, the coverage must be 100%. To obtain good adhesion to the substrate the following system is recommended: first, apply a thin coat of Keraset using the smooth side of the trowel and immediately afterward apply the desired thickness of Keraset using the toothed side of the trowel. In particular: • for mosaics up to 5x5 cm, the use of MAPEI No. 4 square-toothed trowel is recommended (consumption 2 kg/m²); • for normal ceramic or vitrified coverings, the use of MAPEI No. 5 notched trowel (consumption 2.5-3 kg/m²) is recommended; • for substrates that have an irregular surface or tiles with a very rough back, the use of MAPEI No. 6 or 10 notched trowel (consumption 5 kg/m²) is recommended; • in the case of external ceramic floor and wall tiles subject to frost or in difficult applications, the Keraset must also be applied on the back of the tiles (back buttering method).
